St Ives self catering holiday apartments - Hawkes Point, Cornwall

Walks

There are many spectacular coastal and inland walks to be taken advantage of from your accommodation doorstep, and there is perhaps no better way of seeing some of Cornwall’s hidden beauties than by foot along the Atlantic Coastal paths that are steeped in history and heritage.

Carbis Bay to Porthminster Beach - this walk takes you from your accommodation along the coast path to the next cove around,  approximately 3 miles.

St Ives to Zennor - a 7 mile walk which encounters some breathtaking scenery.  This is a proper hike so make sure you have enough provisions so you can take rest at various vantage points and enjoy the scenery. There is also a great pub in Zennor that serves pasties and Cornish ale to help revive those tired legs!

Penzance to St Michael’s Mount - a flat and easy 3 mile walk from the Western-most town in the UK to one of the country’s most unique landmarks.  Make sure you time it so the tide is out so you can walk the giants causeway - alternatively there are day ferries that take you from the mainland to the Mount if the tide is too high.

Lamorna to Mousehole - from one tiny fishing village to a picture perfect harbour town, Lamorna Cove has been the subject of many famous artists, take the 2.5 mile walk East to Mousehole and see if you can find the infamous Mousehole cat hidden amongst the lobster pots on the quay.
